Pegasus is extremely proud having signed one of Iceland's most imaginative and successful directors.

Styrmir Sigurdsson has been one of Iceland's busiest directors for the last few years. He has developed quite a versatile style. He has a keen sense for comedy, having both directed some of Iceland's funniest spots and TV series. He's definitely an actor's director as he repeatedly pulls good performances out of amateurs and professionals alike. Yet he has a strong visual sense and nourishes his constant need of reinventing himself. He has matured as a dynamic filmmaker who handles the subtle natural moments just as well as the aggressive ...natural moments. He's a very skilled editor and prefers to edit his own material.

In his spare time Styrmir tells funny and sad stories of himself and
others.  He is also making music and about to release a CD - but he's been saying that for years now. As with most directors who have a family, his wife keeps him on a tight schedule between jobs. He's an all around nice guy and very well house-trained.
