Gus Ólafsson

Gus Ólafsson


A native of Reykjavik, Iceland, Gus left Iceland when he was twenty and moved to LA.

There he studied Industrial design and graduated with honor with a BA degree in Interior design.

He quickly grew from, model and miniature maker, into prop master and decorator, and then became a production designer. After working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood (David Fincher, Gore Verbinski, David Kellog, Marcus Nispell, to name a few) more than 500 commercials later and about 20 features later he finally ventured into directing.

Now directing commercials, he has received two Telly awards, makes short films, and develops features. Numerous awards nominations later…

Anyhooooo enough about him.
