Synopsis

Jonas (30) comes home at night and finds his fiancée, Drifa (28), dead in the bathtub. Her death is ruled suicide. Jonas finds it hard to come to terms with Drifa’;s death. His best friend, Thomas helps him through the grieving period and is always there for him when Jonas needs support.

Jonas works at a nursing home for the mentally disabled. The patients are a quiet bunch. One of them is Loki, an autistic mute, picked on by the other inmates. Loki seems attached to Jonas. One day Jonas takes Loki with him to run some errands. They stop by Jonas’; home to pick up a film from Jonas’; still camera. There is one picture left on the roll.  To finish the film Jonas takes a photo of Loki. When the film comes back from the laboratory Jonas is shocked to see Drifa’;s image in the background of Loki’;s photo.

He calls Thomas and shows him the picture. Thomas is a bit shaken, but says that this must be a double exposure as the film had been in the camera since before Drifa’;s death. Jonas realizes that although Drifa is dead she may not be gone!

He asks Thomas to join him on a visit to a psychic. Thomas is against this idea but joins him reluctantly. The psychic tells them that Loki has psychic powers. He is a magnet for things that have gone wrong and he is able to produce images of his thoughts on film. He warns Jonas about further "filming".

Jonas does not take notice of the psychic’;s warning. When filming a birthday party at the nursing home he notices an image of Drifa next to Loki. Jonas senses that Drifa is trying to get a message across to him.

Jonas has a night shift at the nursing home. Thomas comes to visit and together they watch TV. During the night Jonas falls asleep. When he wakes up in the middle of the night Thomas is gone. In the morning Jonas realizes that one of the inmates has been killed. The police question Jonas who does not tell them that Thomas was with him the night before. Jonas is told by the police not to leave town as he is considered a possible suspect.

Jonas films Loki at the scene of the crime and discovers that his friend Thomas is the killer. He tells the police that Thomas was at the nursing home the night of the murder. Thomas is subsequently arrested.

Still mystified and desperate Jonas feels the presence of his dead girlfriend.  He continues filming in the apartment where she died. Thanks to Loki’;s special gift Jonas manages to gather enough information on the tape to assume that Thomas killed her, yet the final proof is missing.

When Jonas finds hard evidence proving that Loki killed his fellow inmate, he is faced with a dilemma. He is still convinced that Thomas killed Drifa, but it can never be proven.

Should he tell the police When the right man is in jail but for the wrong crime?
